จังหวัดภูเก็ตเยือนกระชับสัมพันธ์จังหวัดโทกูชิมะ มุ่งสู่การเป็นเมืองพี่น้องและเสริมสร้างความร่วมมือในหลากหลายมิติ
จังหวัดภูเก็ต นำโดย นายโสภณ สุวรรณรัตน์ ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต พร้อมด้วยคณะผู้บริหารจากส่วนราชการและภาคเอกชน อันประกอบด้วย นายณรงค์ อ่อนอินทร์ หัวหน้าสำนักงานจังหวัดภูเก็ต นางรัชดาภรณ์ โออิน ผู้อำนวยการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬาจังหวัดภูเก็ต นาวสาวศิริวรรณ สีหาราช ผู้อำนวยการการท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย (ททท.) สำนักงานจังหวัดภูเก็ต นายเสกสรรค์ ภักดีวานิช ผู้อำนวยการกองป้องกันและบรรเทาสาธารณภัย องค์การบริหารส่วนจังหวัดภูเก็ต นายธเนศ ตันติพิริยะกิจ นายกสมาคมธุรกิจท่องเที่ยวจังหวัดภูเก็ต นายชัยภัทร ณ ระนอง กรรมการผู้จัดการ บริษัท โตโยต้า เน็กซ์ จำกัด นายซาฮาชิ โยชิกาซุ ผู้ช่วยกรรมการผู้จัดการ บริษัท โตโยต้า เน็กซ์ จำกัด และ นายนครินทร์ ภริงคาร ปลัดอำเภอ (เจ้าพนักงานปกครอง) ที่ทำการปกครองจังหวัดภูเก็ต ได้เดินทางเยือนจังหวัดโทกูชิมะ ประเทศญี่ปุ่น ระหว่างวันที่ 12-16 พฤษภาคม 2568 เพื่อริเริ่มและส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์ฉันมิตร นำไปสู่การพัฒนาความร่วมมือในหลากหลายมิติ และมุ่งหมายการสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ในรูปแบบเมืองพี่น้องในอนาคตอันใกล้ การดำเนินภารกิจดังกล่าวถือเป็นก้าวสำคัญในการส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยว การพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจ การป้องกันและบรรเทาสาธารณภัย รวมถึงการแลกเปลี่ยนทางวัฒนธรรม อันจะนำมาซึ่งการเติบโตอย่างยั่งยืนของทั้งสองจังหวัด
การเยือนจังหวัดโทกูชิมะในครั้งนี้นับเป็นโอกาสอันสำคัญยิ่งของจังหวัดภูเก็ต ด้วย นายมาซาซูมิ โกโตดะ (Masazumi Gotoda) ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดโทกูชิมะ ได้เคยให้เกียรติเดินทางเยือนจังหวัดภูเก็ตถึง 3 ครั้งในปีที่ผ่านมา ซึ่งเป็นประจักษ์พยานถึงความสัมพันธ์อันแน่นแฟ้นและความมุ่งมั่นในการพัฒนาความร่วมมือระหว่างสองจังหวัด คณะผู้แทนจากจังหวัดภูเก็ตได้รับการต้อนรับอย่างอบอุ่นจากผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดโทกูชิมะ พร้อมทั้งได้มีการประชุมและพบปะกับผู้บริหารจากส่วนราชการและภาคเอกชน เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเห็นและแสวงหาลู่ทางการประสานความร่วมมือในหลากหลายด้าน นอกจากนี้ คณะยังได้รับเกียรติเข้าร่วมงานเลี้ยงรับรองอย่างเป็นทางการ โดยมี นายคาซูฮิโตะ ซูมิ (Kazuhito Sumi) ประธานสภานิติบัญญัติจังหวัดโทกูชิมะ และ นายอัครพงศ์ เฉลิมนนท์ กงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครโอซากา เข้าร่วมในงานดังกล่าวด้วย
ในการเยือนจังหวัดโทกูชิมะครั้งนี้ คณะผู้แทนยังได้ศึกษาแนวทางการบริหารจัดการขยะและการสร้างสังคมปลอดขยะ (Zero Waste Society) ณ เมือง Kamikatsu เยี่ยมชมกระบวนการและเทคโนโลยีการผลิตยาของ บริษัท โอซูก้า ฟาร์มาซูติคอล จำกัด (Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.) ศึกษามาตรการและแนวทางการป้องกันและบรรเทาสาธารณภัย และร่วมกิจกรรมเรียนรู้ศิลปะการแสดงพื้นเมือง Awa Odori ซึ่งมีประวัติศาสตร์ยาวนานกว่า 400 ปี
ก่อนการเดินทางกลับสู่ประเทศไทย คณะผู้แทนได้เยี่ยมชมงาน Osaka EXPO 2025 และได้เข้าพบ ฯพณฯ นาย Ghazi Binzagr เอกอัครราชทูตซาอุดีอาระเบียประจำประเทศญี่ปุ่น เพื่อหารือถึงโอกาสในการส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวระหว่างจังหวัดภูเก็ตและราชอาณาจักรซาอุดีอาระเบีย ศักยภาพทางเศรษฐกิจที่ทั้งสองฝ่ายสามารถบูรณาการความร่วมมือระหว่างกันได้ รวมถึงความสำคัญของการส่งเสริมความเข้าใจและความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างพี่น้องชาวมุสลิมและการท่องเที่ยวเชิงศาสนา อันจะเป็นประโยชน์ต่อทั้งสองภูมิภาค พร้อมทั้งแสดงความยินดีต่อการเปิดเที่ยวบินตรงระหว่างเมืองเจดดาห์และจังหวัดภูเก็ต ซึ่งมีกำหนดการเริ่มให้บริการภายในปลายปีพุทธศักราช 2568
การเยือนจังหวัดโทกูชิมะในครั้งนี้ นับเป็นก้าวสำคัญในการกระชับความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างสองภูมิภาค และเป็นการเปิดโอกาสใหม่ๆ สำหรับความร่วมมืออันจะนำมาซึ่งผลประโยชน์ร่วมกันในอนาคต
Phuket Province Strengthens Ties with Tokushima Prefecture, Advancing Towards Sister City Status and Multi-faceted Collaboration
Phuket Province, under the leadership of Governor Mr. Sophon Suwannarat, along with a delegation of officials and private sector representatives including Mr. Narong On-in, Head of the Phuket Provincial Office; Ms. Ratchadaporn O-in, Director of Tourism and Sports of Phuket Province; Ms. Siriwan Seeharach, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Phuket Office; Mr. Seksun Phakdiwanit, Director of the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Division of Phuket Provincial Administration Organization; Mr. Thanet Tantipiriyakij, President of the Phuket Tourist Association; Mr. Chaipat Na Ranong, Managing Director of Toyota Next Co., Ltd.; Mr. Yoshiyasu Sahashi, Assistant Managing Director of Toyota Next Co., Ltd.; and Mr. Nakarin Paringkarn, Assistant District Officer (Civil Officer) of Phuket Provincial Administration, undertook an official visit to Tokushima Prefecture, Japan, from May 12-16, 2025. The mission aimed to initiate and bolster amicable relations, leading to the development of multi-dimensional cooperation and the aspiration for a sister city partnership in the near future. This endeavor marks a significant stride in promoting tourism, economic development, disaster prevention and mitigation, as well as cultural exchange, ultimately fostering sustainable growth for both provinces.
This visit to Tokushima Prefecture holds particular significance for Phuket Province, as Mr. Masazumi Gotoda, Governor of Tokushima Prefecture, has graciously visited Phuket on three separate occasions in the past year. This underscores the robust existing relationship and the mutual commitment to enhancing collaboration between the two provinces. The Phuket delegation was warmly received by the Governor of Tokushima and engaged in productive meetings with government and private sector leaders to exchange insights and explore avenues for joint cooperation across various sectors. Furthermore, the delegation was honored to attend an official welcoming reception, with the esteemed presence of Mr. Kazuhito Sumi, President of the Tokushima Prefectural Assembly, and Mr. Akkhaphong Chaloemnon, Consul-General of Thailand in Osaka.
During their sojourn in Tokushima Prefecture, the delegation also examined the waste management practices and the establishment of a Zero Waste Society in Kamikatsu Town, toured the advanced pharmaceutical production facilities of Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., studied disaster prevention measures and strategies, and participated in a cultural immersion session on the traditional Awa Odori dance, a vibrant art form with over 400 years of history.
Prior to their departure for Thailand, the delegation visited the Osaka EXPO 2025 and held a meeting with His Excellency Mr. Ghazi Binzagr, the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Japan, to discuss opportunities for promoting tourism between Phuket Province and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, explore mutual economic potential, and emphasize the importance of fostering understanding and relations with the Muslim community and promoting religious tourism, which would benefit both regions. Congratulations were also extended on the upcoming launch of direct flights between Jeddah and Phuket, scheduled to commence by the end of the year 2025.
This visit to Tokushima Prefecture represents a pivotal step in strengthening the bonds between the two regions and unlocks new prospects for mutually beneficial collaboration in the years to come.
